The season started out slowly for the Terps' causing for the boosters and alumni to pressure the schoool to hire new blood to turn the program around.
The team responded quickly to this newfound staff and had success amongst still the learning. Had some close games vs tough opponents and made progress within a new scheme offensively and defensively.
Here's the year in review:
The Terps' finished the season 5-7 in conference 4-4. Finishing a dismal 1-4 in its last 5 gms. the offense was led by Jr QB J. Robinson 148/287 2744 yds 16 tds -16 ints Sr HB D. Scott 184 att - 1071 yds 12 tds Jr WR R. Tyler 34 rec - 575 yds 3 tds on defense.... Sr MLB A. Wujciak 68 tot tkl 55 solo 13 asst tkl So DT AJ Francis 13 tfl So RE C. Russell 6 sk Sr LOLB A. Moten 3 FF Jr CB C. Chism 5 ints 16 defl 2 def td special teams So K N. Ferrara 23/24 long 53
It was a learning curve for both the players and the staff and things look optomistic next season with a slew of returning starters for this young Maryland team.
