Week 7 Preview:
SEC East on the line this weekend
South Carolina comes into Lexington undefeated, off a huge win at home against the defending National Champion Alabama Crimson Tide. Kentucky is undefeated in conference play and has a total record of 5-1. This game will put the winner in the driver's seat to the SEC Championship game. South Carolina (#13) is favored, but don't count the Wildcats out. They are led by an amazing running game. The Gamecocks have their work cut out for them.

Lowering the Boom South Carolina takes the Commodores to the woodshed.
The Gamecocks bounced back from their first loss of the season to lay a smackdown on the Vanderbilt Commodores. Led by an aerial assault, the Cocks passed for over 700 yards and 8 touchdowns. Steve Spurrier said after the game that his team had been struggling to get the run game going the past few weeks so he decided to turn Stephen Garcia loose. Did he ever. The Cocks plan to continue to pass their way to victory the rest of the season. They get another SEC opponent in Tennessee this week. It's a home game with a number of recruits coming to visit. They'll have to put out their best effort to impress the kids.
On a side note, every time that I've played the computer, the first game I play doesn't register. I have to play the game twice. Does anyone else have this problem?

An Ugly Win
The Gamecocks use 6 turnovers to beat the Bulls
Both offenses looked like they were still in Spring training. A combined 9 turnovers, 3 by the Cocks and 6 by the Bulls, made this game ugly to say the least. Both offenses were able to move the ball, but had a tough time getting points on the board. USF reached their demise with turnovers and dropped passes. The crowd at Williams-Brice Stadium definitely made their presence felt. South Carolina moves to 8-1 on the season and is hoping to crack the top 10 this week.
