After 2 early season losses, the Bulls of South Florida had to do some soul searching. Turnovers have been the biggest issue for the offense. Playing as a new team in the SEC has been quite a transition. Starting the season 0-2 and with upcoming SEC play starting with Georgia on the road and #1 Alabama at home the Bulls were ready for the challenge. The Georgia game was played on a rainy afternoon in Athens and the Bulls managed to pull out the victory. After a great week of practice the Crimson Tide came rolling into South Florida boasting one of the nations best offenses. The Bulls played well on both sides of the ball racing out to a 24-10 halftime lead. In the second half though, the turnover bug hit the Bulls and two quick turnovers turned into 14 points for the Tide. With the score tied at 24, the Crimson Tide is stopped on a 3rd and 3 after Ingram comes up inches short on the Alabama 30 and are forced to punt with 1:39 left in regulation. The Bulls offense runs the two minute drill to perfection and cap the drive with the game winning FG as time expires. The Bulls will enjoy their bye week to heal and practice hard for the Rutgers Scarlet Knights.

Excellent summary. You should put that on the dynasty wire. You can edit the story that was made for your last game, and irvine: I saw on the bottom is where you can put a good amount or comments.

It finally looks like Moo State has a little of momentum after they squeeked out a 41-34 win over Georgia, and I do mean "SQUEEKED".
The game didn't start off well for the home team, as Miss. St. QB, Chris Relf, threw a pick 6 on the 3rd play of the game. On the next possession Miss. St. went down the field and tied the game up 7-7. On ensuing kick off, my return man decided to fumble and Georgia ran it in again for 6pts. On the next possession star RB Robert Elliott went down with a back injury (out for 2 quarters). Another fumble late in the 2nd quarter made the score 21-14 going into the half.
Star WR Chad Bumpis - "At halftime Coach Irvine chewed our ass out about the turnovers and told us we'd have to step up with R.E. (AKA Robert Elliott) down for a little while. I just told myself I have the talent and I plan to use it in the 2nd half."
The 2nd half started much like the 1st as Miss. St. drove down the field and then C. Relf threw another pick on a dropped pass by one of the WRs. From this point on the Miss. St. offense took over as they went on a role and scored 20 points in the 4th quarter. Bumpis came through big with 60yd. reception. R.E. returned to the lineup and on the 1st play took an option pitch down the field for an 80yd. run which made the score 35-34 with 4 mins to go in the game. State's defense stepped up and stopped Georgia on 4 straight downs and Coach Irvine just pretty much kneeled the ball until there was 3 seconds left in the game and just threw a Hail Mary pass up to the end the game that Bumpis ended up catching.
R.E. after the game ------"Yeah my back was real sore, but I begged and pleaded with Coach to let me back in, finally he agreed in the 4th." I had a pretty decent game (185 yds in only 2 quarters isn't to shabby), but I'm just glad we were able to pull out the victory. We really need to get to work next week to prepare for the high flying Houston Cougars".

Week 6 started with off with a bang with Michigan State over UCONN 52-17. The entire defensive back corps came to the interview after the blow out!! CB: Coach Fratmatt13 really gave it too us in practice all week, having to run stadiums for an entire practice while the rest of the team ran drills. We wanted to come out this week and prove to Coach we have the heart and the determination and commitment to wear the green and white. We really stepped up with 4 INT's, 2 of which being pick six's and a number of forced fumbles. Coach Fratmatt13: I am really proud of my CB, I put them through alot this week but they got the message and I could not be more proud of them. Once again our 2nd string QB Maxwell got hurt this week and had to rely on the running game which did a great job. I still can not get over our defense this week what a showing I am so proud to be their COACH!!!

Mamos504 (Minnesota) and I (Miss. St.) played one of the most exciting games I've ever been a part of last night. The game went back and forth for 3 quarters with both of our offenses dominating (especailly our Superstar RBs). There were a few times that Mamos504 turned the ball over and I turned it into points and created a nice 10-14 point lead only to have him come right back with a great drive for a score or a screen play that goes for 80yds. The 1st half of the 4th quarter we continued to exchange scores (him on a long drive and me on a fumble return for a TD by my big DT) which still enabled Miss. St. to have a 3 pt. lead. With a little over a minute to go Minnesota scored again to take a 4 pt. lead. Miss. St. then went to work. I made a few nifty runs by RB and slowly moved the home team in position to try and win the game. With about 25 seconds on the clock and it being a 1st down around the 30 yd. line (No timeouts), I figured I just try a few endzone shots. On 1st down my QB overthrew everyone out the back of the endzone. On 2nd down I tried a post route with my tall WR/TE, but he guarded that well. I did notice where his safeties were playing on that play, so I ran a hurry up play and threw a dart to my WR right at the first pylon entering the endzone...........TD!!!!!!!!! This put Miss. St. up for good as there was only 9 seconds left on the clock.
Great game Mamos504 and good luck the rest of the way. I'm sure we'll meet again down the road.
