Well week 1 didn't go to well for the Bulldogs of Miss. St. as they lost to Minnesota (Ceezar) 34-10. Everything started out well as the Bulldogs drove down the field to get inside the 20 yd. line behind a strong running game from their star RB (Elliott). Then Elliott decided it would be a good idea to fumble.................terrible, terrible, terrible, as we went over turnovers again again in practice this week.
After that Ceezar and I traded punts and a few scores until it was 10-3 going into the half. Then my QB on roll out decided to fumble and Minn. ran it in for a Defensive TD. This made it 17-3 going into the half and Miss. St. could never recover. What went from being a one score game at the half became way to much to handle, especially with Minn. getting the ball to start the 2nd half.
Good Game Ceezar.

My game the 1st week didn't go well. I couldn't get my offense going until the 2nd half and by then I couldn't stop Michigan State's running game. Throwing 5 INTs didn't help either. I definitely made some bad throws, but his defense caught everything. It seems like the defense gets INTs easier than last year. It was close at the end, but not close enough.

Yes, Dave when your offense started to click especially the long passing game in the 4th quarter that was scary. I was doing everything to try to stop you and to try to score again but you just kept scoring and coming back. If i would not have had that long run on the last possession and scored it would have been tied or really way too close.
Yes, it is alot easier to intercept this year and cause turnover. My second week game verse Playboii I once again had another interception on the defensive line and cause many many fumbles from stripping the ball. My running game was really good again, until Larry Capers got back spasms in the 3rd quarter and was out the rest of the game. I held the ball alot and ran alot to try not to run up the score. Beat USF 42-14, but could have been alot worst if i did not try to run out the clock and only try to get a few yards running in the second half My running game was pretty good

I had a cpu game this wee against #3 Texas. I came out strong and I was up 20-7, but some mistakes and their skill allowed them back into the game. It was basically a game of big plays on offense and defense. I intercepted a pitch on an option which I had never done before. Anyway it came down to their last drive and i was up 6. Luckily I was able stop them and kneel the ball to win the game. I made some improvements, but I'm still not quite where I would like to be yet.

Well the Bulldogs finally got their first victory of the season against hated rival LSU. Coach Irvine decided to go ahead and deploy a new playbook compared to to the previous weeks and it paid off big time. The stud RB for Miss. St. (Robert Elliott) had a great game with 180 yds rushing and 3 TDs, but everything came together as the passing game was going good for State.
A few words from the winning QB (Chris Relf),"Coach told me to just go out there and play within myself, trust my teammates, and have fun..........I think we accomplished all 3 today." "Also coach said to stay away from Patrick Peterson's side of the field, which was probably a good decision, lol."

Irvine, that's good stuff about your QB. You should add it to the story that is created after each game.

I tried but it only lets you put 1 sentence in.

Does it let you put more if you create the story yourself?

I didn't have time to upload videos because I was on my friend's PS3 and he had to leave but I'll try to write a recap.
It was my first game EVER on NCAA 11. No warm-ups for me. It definitely showed. My defense had a hard time stopping Arkansas in the first half. They moved the ball at will and scored TDs on their first two possessions. I was able to keep up offensively in the first half and keep the score tied at 14. I got the ball in the second have but Robinson threw his second INT of them game. Arkansas had a short field and drove it down to about the 10 yard line. Then there was the turning point of the game. My CB intercepted a pass and returned it 107 yards for a TD. My defense stepped up nicely in the second half, holding Arkansas to 7. My offense struggled with turnovers in the second half but they were able to run the clock out at the end of the game with crucial first downs.
There are a lot of things the Terps need to clean up if they want any chance against Arizona next week.

Yeah Socbe it's taken me a little time to get used to this version of the game. I've probably only played a total of 10 games and I finally think I found a playbook that encompasses the type of plays I like to run on offense. You'll get used to it probably pretty quick and you're Rex Ryan defense will be back in whole swing.

Hahaha I hope so. That style didn't work too well against the CPU. I might have to make some adjustments. Maryland plays a 3-4. I changed it to a 4-3 for my first game but struggled. I might have to try to play the 3-4 this year, and switch to 4-3 in the offseason after I recruit for it.

Arizona spanked Maryland. We struggled the entire game on offense. The defense did the best they could, but a couple of big plays here and there lead to complete domination for Arizona. Just too many turnovers to win the game.
Maryland Head Coach Ralph Friedgen: "You just can't win the game when you make that many mistakes. We missed blocking assignments, we had some bad decisions, we had some dropped balls. We broke down in coverage. Every time we were trying to get back in the game, we made a mistake and shot ourselves in the foot. Arizona did a great job of taking advantage of our mistakes. We'll have to address some of those things in practice this week."

I had some big plays go my way and the turnovers was the difference as they usually are. I had thrown 8 INTs in my first 2 games so I was glad to only have one this week. The pass defense is better this year which is good, but it takes some adjustment from last years game.

Not a good week at all for the Spartans. On the first couple of plays for the Spartans, their starting QB Cousins gets knocked out of the game for two weeks. The next time they get the ball the 2nd string QB Maxwell gets injured but is able to return. But he returns to a multitude of turnovers. The Florida St. wide receivers were way too fast for the Michigan State Corners while they got burned play after play. Qb Maxwell "I got some good game experience today, but I will spend all week preparing for the next opponent and learn to tuck and run instead of throwing the INT." Coach Fratmatt13 " I am going to run the sh*t out of my CB and S this week. There is no excuse for their poor performance and getting burned that bad. They are not going to want to look at the stadium after they run the steps all practice."
